LED Lighting

LED grow lights have been around now for a few years and since their introduction they have become increasingly popular with growers around the world.

Since their introduction LED grow lights have been looked upon with some skepticism, growers were not sure how they would compare against HPS (High Pressure Sodium) and MH (Metal Halide) grow lights.

The main concerns that most growers had when it came to using LED grow lights was whether or not using a LED grow light would actually be able to save them money and if their yields would be increased and grow times shortened.

In other words, would a LED grow light 120w be able to produce the same if not better results as a HID light of the same wattage.

Now, several years later after extensive testing and with the release of newer, improved models LED grow lights have proven to work just as well as HID* (High Intensity Discharge) lights and in fact LED grow lights have often exceeded the yield and grow quality of their HID counterparts.

*Both HPS and MH are HID lights
