Bulbs
We sell a complete range of grow bulbs and lamps from several manufacturers that includes sodium and metal halide bulbs and also a full selection of fluorescent lamps or CFL's.
- Sodium lamps are mostly red spectrum and are used for flowering or vegetative phase.
- Metal Hailde are blue spectrum grow lamps that are only used during the vegetative phase of plants growth. MH bulbs will outperform sodium bulbs during the veg cycle but cannot be flowered with. Metal Halide lamps use the same control gear as sodium lighting so you can swap the bulbs around.
- CFL's or fluorescent lamps are available in blue or red spectrums, blue for the vegetative phase and red for flowering. In our experience fluorescent grow lamps are not very effective for flowering your plants when compared to a sodium grow lamp but they are an excellent low cost alternative for propagating and vegetative phase and produce considerably less heat and use less electricity.
